Clonmoney NS 2-0 – Bridgetown NS 1-0 at Cusack Park, Ennis

IT was an historic afternoon for the camogie players of Clonmoney NS in Newmarket-on-Fergus. This was the first year they entered the schools camogie competition and they marked that achievement by claimed the county title thanks to a strong second half showing when they came from a goal adrift at halftime to claim the title.

This was a low-scoring affair, with Bridgetown holding sway in the first half when playing with the wind. They led by 1-0 to no score at the break but the tide turned in Clonmoney’s favour in the second half as they pressed home their wind advantage with goals from Aoife Crimmins and Áine Fehilly securing them their first ever title.
