KILKEE has secured a massive coup by persuading Oscar-winning actor, Russell Crowe (left), to participate in the unveiling of a statue dedicated to the late Richard Harris.

The Hollywood star is to take a break from filming in New York to be in Kilkee next Saturday for the unveiling of the life-size statue.

Event organiser, Manuel di Lucia, confirmed yesterday that the star was to attend and sing a song that Crowe penned in memory of Richard Harris.
