SOCIAL and community projects in Clare have so far benefitted to the tune of €58.8 million from the National Development Plan (NDP). To date, €13.8 million has been approved for childcare facilities. €18.5 million was allocated to non-national roads. Money was also spent on water services, the Rural Transport Initiative (RTI), broadband, the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre, the Youthreach programme, social housing, a new slipway in Ballyvaughan Bay and three Community Partnerships.
